4. Elephant Safarii

Elephant rides are available in two of Kaziranga's four zones: the central and the western. These elephants follow a predetermined path deep into the jungle under the guidance of extremely skilled mahouts. These safaris are in the mornings, and the park administration may change the schedule depending on the season or other factors. Elephant safari is in the Central Range (Kohora) and Western Range (Bagori) from 5 AM to 7 AM. The safari lasts about 1 hour. Elephant safari is not available in the Burapahar (Ghorakati) and Eastern Range (Agoratoli).

- 5. Entry permit once issued can not be cancelled or transferred.
- 6. Only registered guides can join your excursions, please do not try to change the guide or naturalist.
- 7. Entry to the National Park is strictly prohibited after sunset.
- 8. While doing jeep safari do not get down from the vehicle, it is not allowed.

The entire forest of the Kaziranga National Park comes under the tiger reserve area and thus fully protected and restricted area as per the wildlife rules and regulations.
