Types of Safari in Kaziranga National Park

1. Jeep Safari

These rides are arranged by the park in two-hour shifts in the morning and evening. Jeep safari is the greatest method to see wildlife without disturbing the ecosystem. Jeep safaris in Kaziranga National Park are available at Kohora (Central Range), Bagori (Western Range), and Agaratoli (Eastern Range). The morning shift is from 7.30 AM to 11.30 AM. The evening shift is from 1.30 PM to 4.35 PM. Each jeep safari is around two hours.

4. Elephant Safarii

An elephant safari is absolutely remarkable. Riding these amazing animals is one of the best ways to visit Kaziranga National Park. Elephant rides are available in two of Kaziranga's four zones: the central and the western. These elephants follow a predetermined path deep into the jungle under the guidance of extremely skilled mahouts. An elephant safari in Kaziranga offers a close-up glimpse of one-horned rhinos, particularly in the western area. These safaris are in the mornings, and the park administration may change the schedule depending on the season or other factors. Elephant safari is in the Central Range (Kohora) and Western Range (Bagori) from 5 AM to 7 AM. The safari lasts about 1 hour. Elephant safari is not available in the Burapahar (Ghorakati) and Eastern Range (Agoratoli).

  • 3. In case your safari is not booked due to reasons like technical error or non-availability of seat, we will refund the whole amount in your given bank account. The same would be communicated accordingly
  • 4. For elephant safari ride please make sure your arrival at the safari point at sharp time provided by safari management team as per govt. rules
  • 5. Jeep Safari Pick up facility is provided to the tourists staying around 5 kilometer from the safari entry gate
  • 6. Vehicle and their charges (jeep, Driver, Entry Fee, Road tax) are included in the Safari charges, so you don't have to pay any extra charges to them

Advance Safari Booking Procedure :-
  • 1. The full name, age, sex of each visitor as printed same on the identity cards to be provided along with the confirmatory amount
  • 2. Preferred travelling date & Safari timing (Morning/Afternoon)
  • 3. Specific ID card number of your ( Voter Id, Aaadhar No, Driving license No etc)
  • 4. Safari charges paid in advance
  • 5. Please carry the same ID card submitted during online booking
  • 6. Passport details are mandatory for making reservation of foreigner tourists
  • 7. Safari is allotted on first come first serve basis (subject to availability)
kaziranga Safari Important information :-
  • 1. Visitors are required to obtain entry permits (by producing above mentioned documents)
  • 2. The safari booking process are governed by the rules made by the forest department of the Kaziranga National Park.
  • 3. Jeep Safari is allowed in two shifts: one in the morning and one in the evening.
  • 4. Elephant Safari is also allowed in two shifts but both in the morning time only.
  • 5. Entry permit once issued can not be cancelled or transferred.
  • 6. Only registered guides can join your excursions, please do not try to change the guide or naturalist.
  • 7. Entry to the National Park is strictly prohibited after sunset.
  • 8. While doing jeep safari do not get down from the vehicle, it is not allowed.
  • 9. Avoid carrying pets while you on a holiday tour as no pets can be taken inside the Kaziranga Park.
  • 10. All visitors to the Kaziranga Wildlife Sanctuary are abide by the rules and regulations of wildlife protection act. So please co-operate.

Entry Formalities :-

The entire forest of the Kaziranga National Park comes under the tiger reserve area and thus fully protected and restricted area as per the wildlife rules and regulations. Visitors to the park must require an entry permit before visiting the park. The official permits are issued for the two kinds of safari tours in the park which are Jeep Safari and Elephant Safari. Both the safaris are the day visit safari for the limited hours and organized on the fix shift timings. The Safari charges given here include the Entry permit charge, Jeep / Elephant charge, Driver / Mahout fee, and our Service charge.
